Trapping and Hunting the Coyote

Out of all the furbearing animals I have trapped, I would have to say without a doubt, the coyote is the hardest.

I almost always use drags on coyotes with plenty of chain - 5 to 8 feet.  Do not try to save a couple of bucks and use fox drags as most of the coyotes I've caught would pull them for a half mile.

The Scent Post Set works well for coyotes as does snaring.
