Trapping the Coyote
At Chagnon's we receive more calls everyday for advice on trapping coyotes then we do for any other single species of nuisance animal. One of the few species of nuisance animal that can not be effectively live trapped or repelled. Traditional Trapping methods and scents seam to be the only effective way to remove coyotes that are causing damage to livestock, poultry, or household pets. Just about the entire United States whether country or outskirts of major cities seem to have Coyote these days.
Make sure to check with your local state wildlife or DNR agency for legal methods and seasons for removing nuisance coyotes.
