Trapping the Otter
Live Trapping Nuisance Otter
Otter often raid fish ponds and farm ponds catching fish and ducks.
Use a proper size quality live trap baited with fresh fish.
Traditional Otter Trapping - Most of the otter I catch come from my beaver sets. In the Upper Peninsula of Michigan we are only allowed three otter per season, so I do not make target otter sets.
The set that I have caught more otter than any other is simply a small stream fenced off with a #280 or #330 guarding the center.

Use: At hole or pocket set use quantity size of a large red bean down in hole,
same quantity on outside upper lip of hole. At "Post" sets use same
